Stay a Week…Memories for a Lifetime

Shopbop offers assortments from over 400 clothing, shoe, and accessory designers. Shop your style at Shopbop.com! The 23-metre (75 ft) lighthouse was designed by David Alan Stevenson for the Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB). Construction, between 1895 and 1899, was undertaken by George Lawson of Rutherglen at a cost of £1,899 inclusive of the building of the landing places, stairs and railway tracks. All of the materials used had to be hauled up the 45-metre (148 ft) cliffs directly from supply.

The New Dungeness Lighthouse Keeper Program provides you, your family and friends a rare opportunity to spend a week at one of the best restored light stations in the country. Your time at the end of the Dungeness Spit will be filled with the sights and sounds of wildlife, surf, marine traffic and the laughter of visitors and your fellow keepers. From the time you are driven to the Lighthouse in one of our four wheel drive transfer vehicles until you return, you will escape reality and, for a short time, walk in the shoes of a lighthouse keeper. In addition to the memories you create, you will become part of a special group of people who are helping to preserve the lighthouse for future generations by taking care of this iconic landmark for a week.

Who Can Be a Keeper?

All NDLSA members are eligible to become lighthouse keepers. Children keepers must be 6 years old or older and at least four adults (18 years or older) are required on the Station. You can reserve one or two bedrooms or the entire keeper's house. If you reserve one or two bedrooms, the other rooms may be reserved by other keepers, who will quickly become new friends. Keepers normally communicate with each other prior to their scheduled stay to discuss meals, room preference and interests. A full house accommodates up to 8 people (3 queen beds and 2 twin beds) though 4-6 is more typical. The Light Station may not be suitable for physically challenged persons. If you have concerns, ask when you make reservations. Reserving the whole house (8 persons maximum) comes with a discount and is great for family reunions, a gathering of bird watchers or photographers, a get together for a group of old friends or a girls (or guys) week out! You still need to have four adults in the group and they all must be NDLSA members, but remember that family memberships cover all persons living in the same household. We must limit the maximum number of Keepers to eight.

How Do I Sign Up

  1. Check thefor dates that fit your schedule. One thing to consider when making a reservation is the tide range during your planned stay. Some like to be at the Station when there are low tides in the daytime. Some prefer other tide ranges. So check the tide chart and see what works best for you. Also, note the transfer times on the availability calendar, since these vary according to the tides.
  2. If you are not already a member of NDLSA, sign upfor an Individual ($35) or Family Membership ($50).
  3. When you find a date that fits your schedule, email the General Manager at scheduling@newdungenesslighthouse.com or call 360-683-6638. Discuss with him dates you would like to stay, how many will be in your party and the mix of adults and children. Together, you can design a stay that fits your needs.
  4. After making the initial arrangements, you will receive a letter listing keeper names, number of rooms and dates of stay. To confirm the reservation you will need to pay a $50/person, nonrefundable deposit. Either mail a check made out to NDLSA to: PO Box 1283, Sequim, WA 98382 or you can pay the deposit on-line.
  5. When you receive an invoice for the balance of your keeper fee, you can also pay via mail with a check or on line. The invoice amount is due upon receipt.
  6. Prior to you stay you will receive a Keeper Packet containing information about keeper duties, information for giving tours, a complete inventory of what is available at the lighthouse (e.g. kitchen items, appliances, etc.), directions to the transfer station and emergency procedures. You will also receive a DVD Keepers Overview Video which will help you get oriented prior to your visit to the lighthouse. You can also view the video on line in two parts (Part 1and Part 2). Reading this information and viewing the video will answer most of your questions about the program and make your stay more enjoyable.

Keeper Fees

The NDLSA receives no funds from any government agency and therefore relies on membership fees as well fees paid by keepers to maintain and restore the Light Station. It is these fees that help make the facility a beautiful place to visit and preserve it for future generations. As a keeper, you become part of a long line of individuals and families that have kept this light shining and open to the public for over 20 years.

2021 & 2022 Fees- The Keeper fees for the year starting 1 January 2021 are: I hate my job! mac os.

  • The adult weekly rate is $440 per week.
  • The fee for children 6-17 years old at the time of the stay is $220.
  • The 'Whole House' weekly rate (for maximum of 8 adults) is $2,640 per week.
  • Reservations for the 2022 year will open on January 2nd, 2021.
    • The adult weekly rate for 2022 is $450 per week.
    • The children's fee for 2022 is $225.
    • The whole house fee for 2022 is $2700.

Payment due dates will be clearly indicated on the invoices. Refund requests for emergencies or health issues will be handled on a case-by-case basis. For any questions regarding fees please call the General Manager at 360-683-6638.

You can pay by check (preferred) or on-line via our 'SHOP' webpage.

Keeper Duties

While you do not need to stay up all night and tend the light, modern Keepers do have a few duties they need to perform while they are in charge of the Lighthouse. The Keeper Packet and Keepers Video you receive (see above – How Do I Sign Up #6) will provide you with all the information you need for giving tours and performing your duties. Most important is to greet visitors who have made the 5 mile trek out and provide tours of the Lighthouse. Other duties include raising and lowering the flag, watering the grass (with a manual underground sprinkler system), mowing when needed (once a week during the growing season) and polishing the brass in the tower at the end of the day. Splitting the tasks among fellow keepers makes it easy, keeps the place looking nice and provides a memorable experience for visitors.

Keep your website on a budget, lighthouse-keeper helps you visualize and create your performance budgets using lighthouse audit reports.

Setting up a performance budget is a healthy practice for yourself, your team and your users as well. As a developer it gives you a goal that you should meet to improve the experience for your users. As a team leader gives you a metric to track your whole team work.

A performance budget for a website is the process of analysing competitors websites, especially around the pages total weight, the first meaningful paint and other metrics that impact performance for the users.

There are plenty of articles describing how and why you should set up a performance budget for your website or web application, generally this can serve as a baseline for improving your website performance or set up a goal for your next project.

A good strategy while setting up a performance budget is picking your competitors and set your budget 20% below the best performing competitor.

Just as a reminder of how this is important, not only for your users but also for your revenue, google released recently a mobile speed calculator where you can compare how much your performance score can impact your revenue at https://www.thinkwithgoogle.com/feature/mobile/

Your website needs to be at least 20% faster than your competitors. Caturday is today mac os.

That's because for a user to have any noticeable difference, your website needs to be at least 20% faster.

There are various tools to audit and keep track of the performance of your website, the most known probably are:

  • webpagetest where you can run a free website test using real browsers and across multiple locations.
  • sitespeed a collection of open source tools ready to be used to measure performance.
  • lighthouse an open source tool for audit and improving performance of your webpages.

Lighthouse is the tool that i will focus on for this article. Lighthouse can be used directly from Chrome, just opening the devtools and then click on the audit panel.

Or as cli

Bartender 3 organize your menu bar icons v3 1 20. There are four main audits that lighthouse will perform during an audit:

  • Performance
  • Accessibility
  • PWA
  • SEO

Since we are interesting in setting up performance budgets the one that we will be focusing on will be the performance audit.

The performance audit collect various metrics on the website, more interesting one while setting a performance budget are:

  • Total Size
  • First Meaningful Paint
  • First Visual Change
  • First Interactive
  • Visually Complete
  • Time to first byte
  • JS parse & com

Its worth to mention that lighthouse sets some presets for the audit. The default presets are:

Versions

Mac Os Versions

  • User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10133) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36
  • Device Emulation Nexus 5X: Enabled
  • Network Throttling 562.5ms RTT, 1.4Mbps down, 0.7Mbps up: Enabled
  • CPU Throttling 4x slowdown: Enabled

I recommend to keep those presets so that your audits will be more consistent even if your connectivity is not the same.

You can access lighthouse reports either directly in your browser or save them as json files.

https://payout-planet-casino-7-gix-pokerhealthy.peatix.com. In order to save a report from the browser interface select the download icon

or if you are using the cli specify the option --output=json and --output-path to save it locally.

Now that you have the reports in order to get a performance budget you still need to calculate yourself the 20% off all the metrics that we are interested into

That's why i created lighthouse-keeper, a visual tool that will calculate automatically your performance budget based upon lighthouse reports.

To use it you just need to select/drag all the reports which you are interested into and lighthouse-keeper takes care of the rest, displaying the performance of the website selected in a chart and calculating your budget. https://rnl-bono-retro-slots-deposito-sin-para-bingo.peatix.com.

https://downdfile198.weebly.com/tic-tac-toe-construct-2-template-mac-os.html. There are three main sections that lighthouse-keeper analyse: score which compares the general score for an audit; timings contains all the metrics relative to performance timings;bytes which compare the total bytes size grouped by the different mime/types.
